On March 4th, the Faith in Place Action Fund will be joining other environmental organizations across Illinois to bring hundreds of environmental justice advocates to the Statehouse in Springfield. It is critical that the Illinois legislature pass the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA) this spring. This will ensure Illinois leads the way in creating just climate solutions and addresses the impacts of climate change.
This Advocacy Day is not only a powerful way to voice your concern over the climate crisis and environmental justice, but it is also a great way to learn how to speak with a legislature. During bus rides to Springfield, bus captains will teach you about CEJA and how to speak with legislators about the policy. When you get to the Statehouse, a guide will take you to your legislature and support you as you share about why addressing climate change in a just way is important to you.
Buses are available at locations across the State. To find a location and secure your seat on the bus, register here. If you can’t join but want to support the bill, you can sign this petition. Thank you for championing a clean and healthy future!
