Today, December 11, on Indiana’s 209th birthday, after months of phone calls and marches and raising our collective voices, the Indiana State Senate voted against the mid-decade power grab being demanded by the administration in D.C.
This gift to Indiana is a direct result of our collective action. With your help and hard work, we contacted 46,000 fellow Hoosiers, who in turn sent messages and made phone calls to their state senators and representatives. And today, they listened.
Our collective action worked, and we at Faith in Place Action Fund are so grateful for you and your voices. Today, we send Indiana a birthday present - the best gift Hoosiers could hope for. Though democracy is often hard and messy, today, we all delivered it tied in a bow.
Today’s vote will have ripple effects throughout our state and our country as we continue to lift up the voices of the people and work together for healthier and more just communities across our state.
