Every election year since 2016, the Faith in Place Action Fund has strived to provide our supporters with more information about where the candidates stand on issues like environmental justice.
This year, we asked all candidates for State House and State Senate to complete a short questionnaire about their policy positions. Specifically, we asked about preventing climate change, promoting job creation and a just economy, advocating for water justice, tackling food justice and scarcity, and supporting the Clean Energy Jobs Act. We’re excited that more than two dozen candidates committed to action in each of those issue areas, here’s the full list:
In addition to the questionnaires, the Faith in Place Action Fund’s Board sat down with candidates for the 13th Senate District to consider a formal endorsement. After interviewing both candidates, we are excited to announce that we have endorsed Senator Robert Peters for reelection! Senator Peters has been a faithful advocate for our planet and a champion of environmental justice. We urge all voters in the 13th District to support Senator Peters on March 17th!
To learn more about our process, or to see questionnaires and endorsements from previous years, please visit the Endorsements section of our website.
If you agree that it’s important for candidates to be held accountable to protecting our planet and our people, please consider a one-time contribution of $25 or more to ensure we can keep doing this vital work.
