This week, Governor Pritzker signed a bill that regulates the toxic coal ash impacting our communities. As an Outreach Director for the Faith in Place Action Fund and one of the leaders of Clean Power Lake County, I am so grateful for everything you did to help make this law a reality. We are grateful to see this big step forward, and sincerely thank all the organizers and advocates who fought hard for this victory. We were even featured in the Chicago Tribune!
While our celebration is well deserved, we still have a long way to go to implement these regulations and expand protections to more communities who suffer as their water, air, and land are poisoned.
You can count on our team at the Faith in Place Action Fund to continue this work and ensure all communities have clean power, clean jobs, and environmental justice. But we can’t do it alone.
We can do the most good when we stand strong together and hold steadfast to our principles. Will you support our team as we move into the next phase of this fight?
We need your investment to make sure we have the resources we need to keep up this work. Thanks for all you do to support environmental justice in our state.
