The nation-leading Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) was passed in 2021 and included provisions to transition to 100% renewable energy and create equity in the workforce of the new green economy.

 

CEJA is a comprehensive and complex bill filled with technical language about generation, delivery, and grid reliability. CEJA’s Decarbonization Policies intentionally integrate existing reliability protocols and oversight from Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs), which are non-profit entities regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
